I have worked at Spa at the Lake since 2009 and I love my spa family.  I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and attended Pennsylvania State University where I studied for my B.S. In Criminal Law.  My husband and I moved to Austin in 2008 and we have really grown to love the city and the outdoors.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hanging out with my two Corgi’s, watching movies and playing pool.

I have worked at Spa at the Lake since February of 2000. I specialize in the ultimate skincare experience and age reversal. I have traveled to numerous international Dermalogica conferences to further my knowledge about skincare. Before joining the spa, I worked for 12 years at Halina Andre developing European skincare products. I have 2 daughters and enjoy reading, riding bicycles and cooking.

My family and I have lived in Austin since 2008. I started working at Spa at the Lake in the fall of 2020 and I love my co-workers and our clients! I love reading, working out, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Ashley Walker

Hair

I found my home at Spa at the Lake in 2009. I have since had three wonderful children and therefore, have a bit more of a limited schedule. However, I love my job and my clients, so I make the most of the time I can devote to the spa. I specialize in custom hair color and color correction, often working with the full spectrum of blondes from soft and natural to bold and glamorous.

Massage

I graduated from the Institute for Massage Education in 2019, and since then have furthered my expertise in anatomy and movement by earning my NASM Personal Training certification.

I’ve been trained in Hot Stone, cupping, and lymphatic drainage. I also have experience working with prenatal clients, athletes, and worked at a cancer center.

I’m passionate about movement, which is why I love blending relaxing and therapeutic techniques with stretching and active engagement techniques—creating a truly personal experience for my clients.

My goal is to listen to your needs and provide the best session possible.

My family and I have called Lakeway home since 2007 and we really love this community! My husband and I have a son, a daughter and two fur babies. I enjoy spending time with my family, crossword puzzles and outings with my friends. I love my job at Spa at the Lake, the atmosphere is phenomenal and I love my coworkers!

I have been living in the Lakeway/Bee Cave for the past 12 years and have fallen in love with the community. I have always loved the beauty world since I was young and now that I’m a part of it, I couldn’t be happier. I really enjoy color/highlights and love the challenge and excitement of big hair transformations! When I’m not working, I am taking care of my sweet dog, cooking, or going to visit family and friends.

I have called Spa at the Lake my home since 1999.  I have been a stylist for over 30 years and strive to help my clients have hair that gets noticed.  I raised my family in Lakeway for many years and I enjoy cooking, traveling, gardening and embracing my creative side.

My fascination with the beauty and health of others has led me to the skin care industry. Since selling Chanel skin care products 20 years ago, my passion has led me to become an esthetician, furthering my knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of skin. I pride myself in staying up to date on the most effective way of correcting and slowing down the aging process of one’s skin. I love getting to know my clients and helping them achieve their long term skin care goals. Looking good is feeling good!

I’ve been in the salon/spa industry for the past 19 years. My positions have ranged from front of the house making appointments to styling hair and running my own salon suite. I was born and raised in Chicago, but have lived in beautiful Texas for the past ten years with my husband and two daughters. As a Front Desk Coordinator at Spa at the Lake I love helping clients plan special days to pamper themselves and create unforgettable memories.

I have been a hairstylist for over 20 years.  I have had the opportunity to work with prestigious professional brands, such as Kerastase and Oribe, and train under some of the best stylists in the world.  My main goal is to make everyone feel beautiful inside and out.  My strength is color, foiling and cutting, specifically designed for each individual client.

I am a seasoned esthetician, massage therapist, and energy healer who can sense and work with the body-mind connection.

Renowned for my expertise in advanced skincare treatments, including Hydrafacials, European Facials, and Vitamin C Facials, I masterfully tailer my approach to each client to ensure optimal results. Using top-tier product lines, like Skin Ceuticals, Eminence and Dermalogica, I can be your trusted authority in achieving radiant, youthful skin. 

I also have over 15 years experience in giving therapeutic massage and use my knowledge and insight to treat acute and chronic pain effectively.

I am an Arkansas native turned Austinite. In addition to a cosmetology license, I have a background in corporate advertising. I love any and everything hair related, from cuts and color to special occasion updos. When I’m not at work you can find me hiking the green belt with my dog, Mr. Styx.

My family and I moved to Austin from Chicago about 10 years ago and have loved it ever since! I’m currently finishing my Associate’s Degree in Business Management and then I’m going to enroll in beauty school for my Esthetician’s license. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my dog, Baxter, and trying new restaurants.

Melissa Sommer

Massage

I have been a massage therapist with Spa at the Lake since 2006.  I excel at therapeutic bodywork for pain management, deep relaxation and foot reflexology.  My area of specialization is structural balance of the neck, shoulder girdle and spine.  My technique combines myofascial release, neuromuscular integration, trigger point therapy and sports massage.  I am originally from California and have lived in Austin since 1993.  I graduated from UT Austin in 2001 and completed my massage training at Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage Therapy in 2004.  I have received additional advanced training from the Neuromuscular Institute and have trained in Russian Sports Massage with former Soviet pentathlete Oleg Boumier.

I recently relocated to the beautiful city of Austin from Arizona. I have a wonderful son who has been in the Air Force now for 10 years. I was raised in Dubai and moved to the United States 23 years ago.  I have been part of the Lakeway community for 10 years.  I have a wonderful husband who is a civil engineer and my three boys attended LTISD schools.  I obtained my cosmetology license 14 years ago and have studied at Aveda, Bumble & Bumble, and Redken institutes. I specialize in haircuts, color, Brazilian Blowouts. I also do eyebrow and lash tinting as well as threading.  I love being part of the Spa at the Lake family and I love my clients!
